Why Margins on Word Arent One Inch When Writing an Essay

Why Margins on Word Aren't One Inch When Writing an Essay? When a student is asked about why margins on word aren't one inch when writing an essay, they will usually look at the question in confusion and then groan. Sometimes when a person hears the question for the first time, they might feel embarrassed because they think that they are being stupid or too easy to read and understand. It is really hard to explain the reason for the lack of standard margin size. When a person uses a computer, the page can be saved at different sizes. The system allows the user to set the width and height of the document and this gives a definite size to each part of the page. All these settings remain permanently even after the person closes the document in the document viewer. It is only when a document is edited in Microsoft Word or any other word processing software application that margins are adjusted. To illustrate the problem with margins on word, when editing the document, a user has to adjust t he default setting of the page. This will give a certain dimension to the whole page, so that the writer will not forget to adjust the margins later on. When the user changes the default settings, they will find that the margins on word are the same as the default settings. When a student is asked about why margins on word aren't one inch when writing an essay, the answer is that it is difficult to read or not as important as the margins on paper. Some college students are not familiar with printing and that is why they get taught the basics of using the word processor. The fact is that if the student has learnt to use a word processor properly, they can save as many copies of the document as possible and the last thing that he/she wants is to make a mistake in setting the margins for the document. It has been seen that in some college campuses, the professors will insist that the text be printed out to be copied again. In this case, the margins will be set at the same height and widt h. The entire process may go wrong because the faculty will also leave the margins on paper as well. When the document is printed out, the margin margins will be different from the original margins. The fact is that margins on word is not an issue because there is no standard setting. However, there are people who have standardized margins for various types of documents. It is because of this that every page should have a specific size and width. It has been seen that some college students have had the mistake of overusing the margins and thus their chances of having a bad grade have increased. There is no simple explanation for the issue of the margins on word because the system only adapts itself to the writer. If the writer comes to believe that the margins on word are the same as the defaults, then he will start adjusting the margins as per the specifications set by the faculty. When this happens, the margins on word will be different from the default settings and will make it dif ficult for the student to go back to the original settings. The use of margins on word cannot be changed unless the user keeps changing the settings in order to make the margins different. Students who know how to control the settings of margins on word will be able to successfully edit the document without the default margins. This will enable the student to do anything that he needs to do.
